Biography

Zhang Wei, M.D., Director of the Department of Plastic, Burn and Aesthetic Surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Medical University, graduated from Air Force Medical University (formerly Fourth Military Medical University). He has led one hospital-level research project, one research project funded by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education, and one research project funded by the Shaanxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has published multiple original articles in core journals of the specialty and more than ten SCI-indexed papers. As the first applicant, he has been granted one national invention patent and one utility model patent.

Areas of expertise: periorbital plastic and reconstructive surgery, ear and nose plastic surgery, facial rejuvenation, liposuction and fat grafting, breast augmentation and reduction/mastopexy for macromastia, injectable aesthetic treatments, wound repair, and scar revision and reconstruction.
